The 15th Panhellenic Gathering of Amateur Astronomers took place with great success on Mount Parnon, in the Sparta peninsula. A three-day event filled with astronomical activities such as solar and night observation, astrophotography, practical workshops, sky mapping, lectures of scientific interest, and children's activities for our young friends. I had the joy and honor of conducting the Landscape Astrophotography workshop, which took place on Saturday, July 15th. An introduction was given to the necessary equipment, preparation, camera settings, types, and composition in landscape astrophotography followed by hands-on practice in the field later that evening.

Since 2014, I have attended numerous stargazing events, but this one was by far the most exceptional experience I've had under the stars. The level of organization was outstanding, and despite the large crowd of approximately 1,000 people, everything went incredibly smoothly. Everyone adhered to the rule of using only red lights, creating a peaceful atmosphere at the campsite and at the observation field. The best aspect of this event was the opportunity to meet both familiar faces and new acquaintances, and together, enjoy the beauty of the night sky. See you all next year!!!
